Meeting began at 7:00pm
- Jennifer Edenfeld opened in prayer
- Teacher Appreciation Week. Jennifer Edenfeld shared that teachers loved the love that was shown to them throughout the week. Lunch was especially enjoyed because the teachers were able to visit with one another. The PTO will definitely do something similar next year
- PTO Volunteer Coordinator. Jennifer Edenfeld stated that PTO is looking for a Volunteer Coordinator for next school year (2017-18). This individual would be responsible for recruiting, organizing, and communicating to volunteers, including room parents.
- Field Day. Jeanne Burton talked about the Field Day senior project on June 1.
- Remaining events of this school year. Sarah Corbin briefly talked about the events in May/June.
- Next school year's PTO calendar. Sarah Corbin also briefly talked about the 2017-18 PTO calendar:
- Back to School Night. Thursday, August 31st
- Ice cream social
- Student packets available that night (with schedule, lunch program, supply list, after school programs, calendar of events, parent volunteer form, etc.)
- Western BBQ and Bingo Night. Friday, September 22. (PTO fundraiser)
- Fall Carnival. Wednesday, 10/25. Games, Food, Fun for all ages! Each class designs and manages a booth. In combination with Life Church's Harvest Party.
- Veterans Day Celebration. Thursday, 11/9 (tentative). Students may invite one veteran for a special patriotic assembly. Throughout the week, students write Veterans' Day cards/letters in classrooms. PTO will send cards/letters to Operation Any Hero.
- February Family Dance. Friday, February 23. "Dancing through the Decades". Music from the 1940's - 1990's, photo booth, contests, refreshments. Dress in your favorite decade!
- Spring Teacher Appreciation Week. April 30 - May 4. Breakfast and Lunch provided for teachers and staff.
- LCS 20th Anniversary Party. September 2018. All current and previous LCS families are invited to celebrate 20 years with us! BBQ, games, bounce houses, prizes, special guests, and much more!
- Back to School Night. Thursday, August 31st
